Decision Report: Proposed Change to the
Council Procedure Rules
Subject of
Report
1. Following an extensive process of consideration and review, undertaken by the Constitution Working Group, the Audit and Governance Committee, and with substantial input from Group Leaders, a revised version of the Council Procedure Rules was considered by the Audit and Governance Committee on 14 October 2024.
2. That Committee considered the revised Council Procedure Rules, together with consolidated comments from the Labour Group, Liberal Democrat Group, Conservative Group, and Councillor Warters.

Having considered the documents,
the Committee resolved to commend the attached New Council
Procedure Rules, attached at Annex 1 to this report, to Council for
approval.
4. The Monitoring Officer would like to place on record his gratitude to all those Members who took part in the review process for their dedication and patience throughout the process.

Recommendation and Reasons

Council is recommended to approve the New Council Procedure
Rules.
7. The reason for the recommendation is that approval is required in order to update the Council Procedure Rules.
